Timmins Vaccination Clinics

The Porcupine Health Unit, in collaboration with Northern College and CDSSAB Emergency Services, are holding a pop-up vaccination clinic on Wednesday, May 26 from 1-7 p.m. This clinic will be held at the Timmins Campus. To get to the clinic, enter the H-Wing entrance to head to the gym. Volunteers and healthcare professionals will be on site to help guide residents to get their vaccine.

The vaccine that will be used is Pfizer; therefore, any individual who is 12 years of age or older and who have not yet received their first dose is encouraged to attend.

This clinic is a drop-in so you don’t need an appointment. All you need is to bring your identification
 

Porcupine Health Unit is now opening up spots for all adults 18+, All phase 1, and currently eligible Phase 2 groups.

The list of highest and high-risk medical conditions includes:

  • Organ transplant recipient;
  • Hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipient;
  • Neurological diseases in which respiratory function may be compromised like MS;
  • Haematological malignancy diagnosed <1 year;
  • Kidney disease eGFR< 30;
  • Obesity (BMI > 40);
  • Treatments causing immunosuppression like Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, active chemotherapy;
  • Intellectual or developmental disabilities like Down Syndrome.

The Porcupine Health Unit has announced the following COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics. Any eligible individual living in a smaller outlying community is always welcome to schedule into these clinics. Please note that appointments are required. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
