Update June 1, 2020: Due to the recent developments related to COVID-19, Beendigen’s offices located in Victoriaville Mall, Syndicate Avenue, Luci Court and on Fort William First Nation will be closed effective immediately. Beendigen is continuing to operate and provide services during this stressful time by providing shelter, telephone counselling, and crisis support.

Beendigen Housing

Ongoing services are available during the pandemic. If you need assistance with housing (applications, submitting paperwork, etc.) call the Program Support Assistant and request a referral to our Transitional Housing Support Program.

Beendigen Anishinabe Women’s Crisis Home and Family Healing Centre’s mission is to provide safety and shelter to Indigenous women and children experiencing violence, and to facilitate the cycle of healing through the delivery of culturally appropriate programs and services to individuals and families.                

Due to the recent developments related to COVID-19, Beendigen’s offices located in Victoriaville Mall, Syndicate Avenue, Luci Court and on Fort William First Nation will be closed effective immediately. Beendigen is continuing to operate and provide services during this stressful time by providing shelter, telephone counselling, and crisis support. 

Please note the new procedure that is in effect: when a woman comes into the isolation unit at the crisis home, she will be tested and if the test comes back negative, she can be moved into the main part of the crisis home. This will shorten the 14-day isolation period and allow to get more women into the home
