Hospital staff and professional staff are engaged in recovery planning. As noted by Dr. David Puskas, specialist Advisor to Recovery Branch, “There is nothing that says that we have to open for business in the same way that we have always provided care. Now is the time to boldly rethink, and possibly retool, each of our practices to maximize efficiency while minimizing our Hospital footprint. Perhaps never, since we moved to our new facility, has there been a bigger appetite for collaborative change. Let’s not miss this opportunity.” The Recovery Team welcomes input to shape our future state. Please bring any and all ideas to your supervisor, or contact Jessica Logozzo, Recovery Branch Lead at

Our Hospital prioritizes safety for all. To ‘treat and return’ process was developed and shared to support safe transfers of regional urgent and emergent patients that are confirmed or suspected COVID-19. The process is based in infection control best practices and is intended specifically as a guidance document for staff who are escorting patients from regional hospitals to ours.

The health and safety of patients, staff and the community is our utmost priority. For the enhanced protection of vulnerable patients, COVID-19 testing will be performed for asymptomatic cancer patients prior to starting on immunosuppressive cancer treatment. The testing process will be similar to that established for renal patients.
