Calling ahead of time helps to reduce the spread of infection! If you are experiencing a life-threatening health issue, you do NOT need to call.
Update September 22, 2020: Red Lake’s local COVID-19 Emergency Isolation Centre now has a family friendly isolation space! This new area is to help address the difficulty of isolating with COVID-19 positive family member. This space includes a sleeping area of two queen beds and day bed, a family room with a table for meals, as well as craft area and play space. The family friendly space would be ideal for a COVID-19 positive child and caregiver or for members of a family who are isolating. If you need a place to isolate, you can contact the Emergency Isolation Centre at 728-3026. You may also be referred by the Assessment Centre or your health care provider.
Please contact the Assessment Centre at 807 -727 -7035 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All other services: Lobby entrance is the only access point. The door will be locked between 10:00PM and 7:00AM at which point those who wish to enter may use the buzzer (regular practice).
Only essential visitors will be allowed in. Outpatient appointments have been reduced to those that are deemed urgent by a physician. All persons entering will be screened.
The Red Lake COVID-19 Assessment Centre is now open. This is a facility dedicated to individuals experiencing possible symptoms of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Access to this centre is by appointment only. For safety reasons, “walk in” appointments are strictly prohibited.
The Centre provides a safe space for possible or confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, and their close contacts, who have no other available means to self-isolate safely on their own. To access the Centre, contact the Red Lake COVID-19 Assessment Centre at (807) 727-7035 for evaluation and testing, Public Health’s COVID-19 hotline 1 (866) 468-2240, or their Primary Care Provider, to be referred to the Isolation Centre. Individuals can also contact the Isolation Centre at (807) 728-3026.
