Update: CDSSAB has confirmed that they are willing to be an intermediary contact (as they’ve done in Thunder Bay) to connect with individuals who have been screened by 211 representatives and will connect eligible people not only with the food hamper service, but any other service people may be in need of.
The Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board is authorized by the Province of Ontario to provide emergency child care for children of essential and critical service workers. Emergency Child Care is funded by the Province and will be available at no cost to families, for children 18 months to under 13 years. The Cochrane Distract Social Service Administration Board is limiting visits to offices.
See website at http://www.cdssab.on.ca/covid-19-emergency-child-care for locations
Services will operate Monday to Friday, based on centre hours. Centres are located in school-based and community-based licensed child care facilities as well as home child care providers operated by not-for-profit organizations.
