Updated August 4, 2020:  On August 3, the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) was notified that a symptomatic health care professional working out of the Northern Clinic in Sioux Lookout tested positive for COVID-19. This person was in Sioux Lookout for a period of two weeks for work and has since returned to their residence outside of the region. Updated July 28 – Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) will be requiring the use of masks or face coverings for anyone in an enclosed public space, beginning August 17, 2020. NWHU is requiring every business and organization that has an enclosed space accessible to the public to have a mandatory mask use policy.

People who do not have COVID-19 symptoms will not be seen at the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre assessment centre and will be redirected as appropriate. Those who believe they have come into contact with, or have symptoms of COVID-19, are to self-isolate and call the Northwestern Health Unit for further direction.
